Highlights
from the International Marketing and Promotion Zone at the GFT Thailand Textile
Fair.
The
International Trade Administration (ITA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs
and the China Textile Industry Council (CITEL) are collaborating to promote the
international marketing of Taiwan's functional textiles, actively tapping into
the demands of the New Southbound Market. Participating in
the GFT Thailand Expo is a significant step in strengthening
Taiwanese textile companies' presence and brand visibility in the ASEAN market.
The event brought together over 900 exhibits from eight companies
across the Taiwanese textile supply chain , showcasing Taiwan's integrated
innovation capabilities in fashion, functionality, and sustainable textiles.
Participating Taiwanese manufacturers cover a wide range of fields, including
textile materials, fabrics, accessories, and end products. Among them, Jisheng
Company mainly promotes functional nylon yarn that has passed
sustainable and environmental certifications such
as GRS and OEKO-TEX ; Feisibi Company exhibits
multifunctional fabrics that are UV- resistant , moisture-wicking,
and highly elastic; Naizu Company emphasizes the combination of fashion
and sustainability, exhibiting chemical fiber imitation straw fabrics
widely used in the clothing and home textile fields; Dongtai Accessories launches
customized chemical button accessories products to support clothing, shoes and
hats.
During the exhibition, the Textile Fair exhibition area
attracted the attention of international brands and clothing manufacturers from
the ASEAN region and around the world, including Danish footwear
brand ecco , American casual wear brand HANES , Thai
fashion apparel brand Jaspal , Thai sportswear and uniform
manufacturer EGO sport , etc. They all showed great interest in the
high-quality products of Taiwanese manufacturers. Some local companies even
expressed their intention to further negotiate with Taiwanese businesses for
distribution or agency. At the exhibition, businesses and buyers held lively
negotiations and actively promoted future cooperation opportunities. Subsequent
business opportunities are expected.
The
success of this exhibition once again demonstrates Taiwan's leading position in
the global textile sector and underscores the significant contribution of the
International Trade Administration (ITA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in
promoting the integration of the textile industry into the New Southbound
Policy. Going forward, the Textile Industry Council will continue to connect
upstream, midstream, and downstream players in Taiwan's textile industry,
strengthening collaboration and resource integration across the industry chain,
promoting the sustainable development of Taiwan's textile industry and its New
Southbound Policy, and creating more international business opportunities for
Taiwan.
