Suntory
Health & Fitness has partnered with Rakuten Monkeys and Wei Chuan Dragons,
two major professional baseball teams, to create a "Muscle Motivation
Dance" exclusively for the "Tangerine Support Team," inviting
seniors to join in the fun and boost their muscle strength! (From left: Wei

Manager, Rakuten Girl Yunxi, and Xiaozi)
The program is entering its third year, and this year's support
campaign has been upgraded. Suntory Jianyi has joined hands with two
professional baseball teams, the Rakuten Monkeys and the Wei Chuan Dragons, to
jointly participate in a public welfare support program. They will
visit 10 local long-term care facilities in northern Taiwan and
invite seniors from long-term care facilities to form the "Orange Support
Group." This will allow the elderly to no longer be just spectators, but
to stand on the stage and participate in the support activities themselves,
creating enthusiasm and confidence for their senior life.
Cheerleader
Kiki co-created the "Muscle Motivation Dance" to transform the dual
energy of muscle strength and motivation through dance.
A
highlight of this year's program is the "Muscle Motivational Cheer
Dance," co-created by popular cheerleader Kiki, which combines health and rhythm. Drawing inspiration from
the National Health Administration's "Six Seated Exercises" and
incorporating the rhythms of cheerleading songs, the dance is designed to be
easy to follow whether sitting or standing. This safe and engaging dance
encourages seniors to get moving anytime, boosting muscle strength and
showcasing their energy through simple movements.
Qiqi has previously participated in the Be
Supporters! project by visiting day care centers and practicing dance with
the elderly. Having personally experienced caregiving, she deeply understands
the importance of support and companionship. She shared, "I hope this
dance performance will not only be a form of exercise, but also a way for the
elderly to demonstrate confidence and courageously express their support."
Suntory Kenyi also emphasized that the "Muscle Motivation
Dance" symbolizes the transformation of "muscle strength" into
"motivation." In the second half of the year, it will visit the
Rizhao Center with cheerleaders from the Rakuten Monkeys and Wei Chuan Dragons
teams, where the cheerleaders will personally lead and teach the "Muscle
Motivation Dance." Consumers with elderly families are also welcome to
practice the Muscle Motivation Dance together, cheer for their favorite teams,
and gain more healthy energy.
The
"Orange Support Group" was officially established to
implement the "Supporting a Healthy New Life" campaign
To expand participation in the " Be
Supporters! " campaign, Suntory Health & Fitness not only
continues its partnership with the team to visit long-term care facilities, but
this year also established a dedicated "Orange Support Group" for
seniors, comprised of members from various long-term care facilities. To
accommodate members' physical conditions, the Orange Support Group will offer a
variety of support methods. The Fighting Group will perform a vibrant and
confident cheering dance on stage at the start of games, while the Support
Group will cheer from the sidelines. Through these diverse engagements, each
senior can contribute their support based on their individual needs, embracing
the dual values of healthy living and supporting others.
Mario Suzuki, General Manager of Suntory Kenichi, said, "When
we see elders joining in the cheers and support, they not only radiate vitality
but also experience the joy and happiness that comes from supporting others.
This is precisely the motivation behind the launch of the Tachibana Support
Group. The power of support knows no age, and through
this participation, we hope to accompany elders in their transition from being
cared for to empowering supporters. "
The
first support station in Northern Taiwan has been launched, inviting all
long-term care institutions in Taiwan to join the support.
As Taiwan enters a super-aged society, facing the issue of physical
and mental health in old age, the 2025 " Be
supporters! " project focuses on northern Taiwan, partnering with professional baseball teams to visit
multiple long-term care facilities. Through cheering dance instruction and
cross-generational interaction and exchange, the project aims to help more and
more seniors rebuild their confidence and enthusiasm for life. In the future,
it is expected to extend the stage from day care centers to baseball fields,
providing a stage for seniors with creativity and care, and realizing the brand
vision of " hoping that everyone can maintain physical and mental
health and radiate radiance ."
Suntory
Kenichi sincerely invites more day care centers and long-term care partners
across Taiwan to respond together, so that the spirit of " Be
supporters! " can be implemented in the daily lives of every senior.
We hope that through this health support campaign, we can jointly create a new
life of elderly support that is more warm and participatory.
