The
program is intended to provide scholarships, corporate trainings, internships,
and full-time job opportunities to help international students gain key technology
skills and cultivate their long-term core competitiveness. ASUS believes the
program will help create a global talent pool through its international
industry-university cooperation, enabling the company to recruit leading tech
talent from both inside and outside the country.
The
ASUS Scholarship will provide two-year tuition fees, monthly living allowances,
round-trip airfare, and Chinese language learning course fees for master's
students majoring in electronics, electrical engineering, and computer
science-related departments.
ASUS
and Taiwan
Tech are jointly promoting the international
talent program, with ASUS providing resources as an enterprise and Taiwan Tech
providing academic education. ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu explained, “Ultimately, we
hope to drive the growth of Taiwan's technology industry through the attraction
of global talent and achieve a positive cycle of improvement in the country’s international
competitiveness."
