To provide customers with more
flight options and better connectivity on the SIA network, SIA also codeshares
on Scoot-operated flights. Customers holding
SIA tickets with Scoot-operated flights can transit in Singapore for travel to
any approved SIA and SilkAir destinations. However, entry into Singapore is not allowed. Transit
itinerary and procedures must ensure compliance with the regulations of the various
authorities. When travelling on Scoot
flights, cabin baggage is limited to 3 kg and must be securely stowed under the
front seat. With SIA tickets, customers are
also entitled up to 30-35 kg of checked baggage for Economy Class and 40 kg for
Business Class on the Scoot-operated flights.

Transiting at Singapore Changi Airport
Transiting at Singapore Changi
Airport is allowed for SIA Group (SIA, SilkAir and Scoot) for travellers
originating from Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney),
New Zealand (Auckland and Christchurch), Taiwan, Japan (Osaka and
Tokyo-Narita), Seoul, China (Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shanghai), Hong Kong, Copenhagen,
Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Zurich, Paris, London (Heathrow) and Milan.
Transfers are only allowed between airlines within the SIA Group (Singapore
Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot). In line with regulatory requirements, transit and
non-transit passengers will be kept apart at Changi Airport, and will have to
adhere to precautionary measures. This is to ensure the health and safety of
our customers and staff. Our ground
staff will welcome Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers transiting through
Changi Airport upon their arrival.
Precautionary Measures to Safeguard the Well-being of Customers
The SIA Group has stepped up all of
our cleaning measures and has introduced precautionary measures to protect the
well-being of our customers and crew. These measures include temperature
screening before boarding, wearing face masks and safe-distancing at all times
and separate seat arrangements for transit and non-transit passengers.
Customers are provided with a complimentary care kit containing a face mask,
hand sanitiser, and anti-bacterial wipes. SIA aircrafts are thoroughly cleaned,
with extra care taken to sanitise common surfaces. Lavatories are also cleaned
more often throughout the flight with strong disinfectants. Every aircraft in
the SIA Group fleet is equipped with HEPA filters, which remove more than 99.9%
of the microbes in the air. Cabin air is
also refreshed every two to three minutes throughout the flight.
On flights operated by the SIA
Group, all passengers above the age of two must wear a face mask throughout the
flight and except at meal times. They are also required to stay in their
designated zone throughout the flight.
Passengers must ensure that they meet all the requirements to enter their
final destination. Please visit singaporeair.com for more information.
