With 22 years in Visa
and 14 years in the role of General Manager for the Taiwan market, Marco has
been instrumental to the successes and growth of Visa on Taiwan. This includes
growing adoption and usage of Visa Debit; more than doubling digital payment
usage; and expanding contactless payments. Marco has also led the launch of the
Visa Token Service, making digital payments safer and more seamless.
Shirley Yu, Group
General Manager, Greater China said: “Marco is known for his professionalism
and dedication to our clients, our people, and the payments industry. He has
led our team to deliver outstanding results over the past decade, helping to
advance Taiwan’s payment industry and digital economy. In addition, Marco is a
trusted voice in the industry and has strongly contributed to shaping its
growth. We now look forward to his contribution to important strategic projects
in mainland China.”
Marco will continue to
lead the Visa business in Taiwan as Visa searches for his successor. Once the
new General Manager is onboard, he will relocate to China.
