Visa appoints General Manager for Taiwan Marco Ma to head strategic projects and planning in China

TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 19, 2019 – Visa today appointed Marco Ma as Vice President, Strategic Projects and Planning. In this role Marco will lead large and complex strategic engagement opportunities in the mainland China market.
With 22 years in Visa and 14 years in the role of General Manager for the Taiwan market, Marco has been instrumental to the successes and growth of Visa on Taiwan. This includes growing adoption and usage of Visa Debit; more than doubling digital payment usage; and expanding contactless payments. Marco has also led the launch of the Visa Token Service, making digital payments safer and more seamless.

Marco will continue to lead the Visa business in Taiwan as Visa searches for his successor. Once the new General Manager is onboard, he will relocate to China.
