Taipei, The German
Trade Office Taipei organizes a German Pavilion at the first Asia Pacific Wind
Energy Expo & Forum at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from March 13 to 15,
2019. Newly elected Kaohsiung City Major Han Kuo-yu opens the exhibition focusing
on issues relevant for Taiwan’s wind energy industry such as energy safety,
sustainability and green economy.
German Trade Office
Taipei Executive Director Axel Limberg considers the 2019 Asia Pacific Wind
Energy Expo & Forum to be a great opportunity to showcase German wind
energy technology and know-how to support the implementation of the energy
transition in Taiwan.
He states: "Taiwan and
Germany both decided to change their energy systems by replacing fossil fuels
with renewable energy sources. Over the last few years, German companies have
gained substantial expertise in the wind industry and energy produced by
wind turbines already delivered power equivalent to around 18% of Germany’s
electricity consumption last year. As Taiwan has an attractive
natural geography for the installation of offshore wind farms, German
companies are ready to actively support Taiwan by achieving its target of
generating 20% of its energy by using green energy by 2025."
We are pleased to host
five renowned German exhibitors at the German Pavilion in the north hall of
Kaohsiung Exhibition Center KEC. Part of the pavilion are EnBW Asia Pacific
Ltd, ONP Management GmbH, Petawatt Energy Consultancy Ltd., PFISTERER and TÜV
Rheinland.
