Grand Hotel Statement
1. CBS television staff made a personal phone reservation through a translator on May 13 and checked into the hotel in the evening .
2. At around 6:00 AM on May 14 , the CBS team was conducting a live news interview at the hotel. Because the volume of the interview was disturbing the rest of the nearby guests, the hotel received complaints from the guests, who requested a refund on the grounds of being disturbed.
3. On May 15 , hotel staff explained to the translators hired by CBS that they did not agree to filming in the hotel because the relevant filming work had not been applied for in advance and had disturbed the peace of other guests.
4. The media reports that "the hotel owner prohibited CBS from broadcasting political content within the hotel premises due to dissatisfaction with the content of the reports" are not true, and the relevant statements do not match the actual handling situation of our hotel.
5. The Grand Hotel has always respected freedom of the press and has cooperated with international media outlets such as CNN in the United States , France, and Germany for interviews and reports at the hotel in the past; however, it places even greater emphasis on the quality of accommodation and privacy of its guests. In the future, it will continue to make proper arrangements while taking into account both the needs of guests and the needs of news reporting.
