In February, passenger revenue reached NT$4.1 billion, increasing 20% MoM and 37% YoY. This growth was primarily driven by strong travel demand during the Lunar New Year and the 228 Memorial Day holidays.
In the cargo market, shipment momentum slowed compared to January due to consecutive holidays, leading to a lower overall load factor. Cargo revenue for February was NT$353 million, reflecting a YoY increase of 39%.
STARLUX Airlines has announced its 2025 financial results. In 2025, the passenger market was affected by uncertainties related to reciprocal tariffs, as well as pre-delivery expenses associated with upcoming aircraft deliveries. The cumulative net income for 2025 was NT$ 273 million, or NT$ 0.09 per share.
In network expansion, STARLUX continues to grow the Taichung–Japan market. After launching the Taichung–Miyakojima route on February 13, the airline will start services from Taichung to Tokyo on March 30 and will begin operations on the Taichung–Kumamoto route on March 31.
Starting in June, STARLUX will officially enter the South Korean market, adopting a dual-gateway strategy to improve travel convenience between Taiwan and South Korea. The airline will launch its Taipei–Busan route on June 1, followed by the start of a direct Taichung–Busan service on June 2. Additionally, STARLUX plans to expand its global network by introducing its first European route, Taipei–Prague, on August 1.
As new aircraft join the fleet, STARLUX will expand market capacity starting with the summer schedule. Several Japan routes, including Tokyo, Nagoya, and Okinawa, will be upgraded to widebody aircraft operations to meet increasing travel demand and boost passenger revenue. Meanwhile, the Singapore route will be operated by the A350-900, with First Class service added to better serve premium and business travelers. STARLUX will continue to adjust aircraft deployment and increase flight frequencies to enhance operational competitiveness while providing travelers with more flight options.
