2025 Taipei International Forum on Employment for Persons with Disabilities × International Conference on Human Resource Development

  • A Pathway to DEIA+ Workplace: Disability-Inclusive Accessibility Employment

Taipei---The Taipei City Government has long been committed to creating a city environment based on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA). The workplace is a key arena for realizing these values. To deepen enterprises’ understanding of the diversity of disability employment and to highlight the growing global emphasis and trends on disability inclusion, the Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office, in collaboration with National Taiwan Normal University, will host the “2025 Taipei International Forum on Employment for Persons with Disabilities × International Conference on Human Resource Development” on November 5–6, 2025, at the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation International Convention Center (Room 1101).

The forum will bring together experts, scholars, and representatives from industry, government, and academia to discuss strategies and promote DEIA+ as a core value in corporate development.

The forum will focus on three main themes:

International Policy Insights,
Corporate Best Practices, and
Innovative Models of Social Enterprise and Cross-Sector Collaboration.

Through these discussions, the event aims to inspire companies to embed inclusion and support within human resource strategies and organizational culture.

This year’s forum theme, “A Pathway to DEIA+ Workplace: Disability-Inclusive Accessibility Employment,” emphasizes the “+” in DEIA+, which signifies PLUS—representing not only the implementation of accessibility in policy design and workplace environments, but also the need for action and social collaboration to create more inclusive and supportive workplaces for persons with disabilities.

Commissioner Chiu-Tung Wang of the Taipei City Department of Labor emphasized that, in today’s global landscape, corporate development and workplace equity are inseparable. The value and contributions of persons with disabilities in the workplace must be recognized, and it requires joint efforts from both enterprises and the public to ensure equal employment opportunities.

The Taipei City Government will continue to assist enterprises in implementing the spirit of DEIA+ through policy initiatives, resource support, and system guidance, enhancing employment opportunities and career dignity for persons with disabilities. The government also encourages more enterprises to demonstrate leadership by embracing diversity and creating value—making inclusiveness and equality the cultural foundation of the city.

Together, let us transform the vision of DEIA+ into concrete action and build a truly inclusive, equitable, and accessible Taipei.

In addition to on-site participation, the international forum will also offer live streaming throughout the two-day event. All those interested in disability employment are warmly invited to join online via YouTube.
