In January, cargo demand softened due to the holiday period, leading to a decline in the cargo load factor. As a result, cargo revenue reached NT$ 292 million, representing 101% YoY growth.
STARLUX Airlines is expanding in the Northeast Asian market and will officially launch the Taipei–Kobe and Taichung–Kobe routes on April 18. Both routes are now available for booking, with the Taipei–Kobe route operating three weekly flights and the Taichung–Kobe route operating seven weekly flights. These two routes are expected to meet the high demand for the Expo 2025 in Osaka, while offering travelers a new gateway to the Kansai region.
In North America, following the increase to 10 weekly flights between Taipei and Los Angeles since December last year, STARLUX Airlines will also increase the Taipei-Seattle route to daily flights from March 1, to further meet passenger demand and improve its competitiveness in the North American transit market. In the meantime, STARLUX Airlines continues to optimize its Southeast Asian routes. The Bangkok flight JX741/JX742 will be upgraded to an A350 to provide passengers with a more comfortable travel experience.
For cargo services, STARLUX Airlines has solidified
its position as a leader in specialized cargo transport, earning two more
prestigious certifications from the International Air Transport Association
(IATA). STARLUX received the CEIV Pharma certification and the CEIV Fresh
certification. These achievements, combined with the CEIV Lithium Batteries
certification obtained in December last year, made STARLUX the first airline in
Taiwan to hold three CEIV certifications. Moving forward, STARLUX will continue
to uphold and optimize our operations, delivering efficient and professional
cargo services.
