Visa revamped lifestyle platform for cross-border tourism with a year full of new Visa privileges and offers

Ÿ   From now until year end, Visa credit and debit cardholders can enjoy new 2020 lifestyle platform with exclusive travel, lodging, dining, entertainment, and shopping privileges and offers
Taiwan's outbound tourist number from January to November of 2019 has exceeded 15.9 million, with a YOY growth rate of 3.41 percent and the total outbound tourist number of 2019 is expected to reach a new record high, according to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau. To help travellers make the most of their overseas trip, Visa has revamped its lifestyle platform this year with a series of new offers and privileges in travel, accommodation, dining, entertainment, transportation and shopping for all Visa credit and debit cardholders.

Taking off: Exceptional travel privileges and offers
Visa is known for its extensive privileges at popular tourist destinations, including Taiwan travellers’ favourites such as Japan, Europe and the US. Visa also takes a holistic and customer-centric approach, by making privileges and offers available throughout the traveller journey, particularly with airfare and accommodation, the two biggest expenses. Visa credit and Visa debit cardholders can enjoy 5 percent off on designated Air New Zealand flights. For lodging, there is an 8 percent discount when booking on Hotels.com. In addition, Visa Infinite cardholders can enjoy 1 complimentary night for every 3 paid nights at more than 5,000 starred hotels worldwide.

Visa offers its credit cardholders airport transfer privileges from Taipei to Taoyuan International Airport, Taichung to Taichung International Airport, and Kaohsiung to Kaohsiung International Airport: Visa Infinite and Visa Signature Business cardholders can enjoy a single trip of NT$380 with a maximum of 4 trips per person per year. Visa Signature cardholders can enjoy a single trip of NT$588 with a maximum of 8 trips per person per year. Visa also offers a wide range of privileges on DragonPass Airport Lounge access, airport fast track services, and RoamingBar Wi-Fi router rental.

THSR limo service from NT$199 available for the first time
Visa introduced THSR limo service for Visa Infinite cardholders from THSR Hsinchu station, THSR Taichung station and THSR Tainan station to designated areas starting from NT$199. For those who enjoy driving, all Visa credit cardholders are entitled to 45 percent off during weekdays on car rental service. Visa also provides Visa Infinite cardholders for staying at 5-star hotels on weekdays starting from NT$3,300, and Visa Infinite, Signature and Business Signature credit cardholders enjoy special rates on weekdays starting from NT$2,300 at selected hotels throughout Taiwan.

All year round on dining, entertainment and shopping privileges to enrich your life

All Visa credit cardholders can enjoy afternoon tea, lunch or dinner discount at designated restaurants; “Buy two get one free” at selected restaurants is offered to Visa Business Signature cardholders. For moviegoers, a two-to-go promotion from NT$220 per ticket is available to designated credit cardholders; Visa also continues its partnership with ShopBack to offer cashback for designated Visa credit cardholders when shopping at selected overseas websites. In addition to 3 percent cashback every Tuesday, Visa Infinite and Visa Signature cardholders are entitled to a NT$300 cash reward on their first purchase.
