The Gourmet Taipei International Food & Wine Festival will return to Hua Shan Creative Park in September of this year. The show will feature 20 fine restaurants with a variety of excellent dishes ranging in price from as low as NT$50 and up to NT$250 each. In addition to food there will be more 60 top-class wines on offer, along with a variety of craft beers, sake, whiskey and cognac.
Gourmet Taipei will include 18 fun and informative wine classes held in the FIJI Water- Water & Wine Tasting Room. There will be free sommelier-guided show tours of the show and the ever-popular celebrity chefs cooking demos at the Kitchen Theater cooking stage.
Gourmet Taipei is also the first food & wine festival to adopt a complete cashless payment system.
Top foreign cuisines from all over the world may only cost NT$50
Gourmet Taipei will take place on September 28 and 29 and will bring together many famous Taipei restaurants, including Verde which was recommended by Michelin this year. Other notable restaurants this year are Antico Forno which was recommended by Best Pizzeria, INDULGE Bistro, one of the Top 50 Asian bars, and Warren Buffett's favorite steak house Smith & Wollensky. In addition to fine Western cuisine this year’s show will feature the W Taipei's Yen Chinese Restaurant, along with more than 18 other fine restaurants from the Taipei area.
Apart from their regular menus, some of the restaurants will offer dishes that can only be tasted in the event. Guests can taste and buy top-grade wines, whiskey, French champagne, sake, craft beer, and cognac as well on-site.
Dishes will range in price from NT$50 to NT$250.

Five Interactive Experiences at a Time
Gourmet Taipei International Food & Wine Festival in 2019 is not only a great place to taste and experience fine food. Much more is on offer this year.
In the FIJI Water - Water & Wine Tasting Classroom there will be 18 wine tasting classes held continuously over two days providing tasting opportunities presented by The Glenrothes, Treasury Wine Estates, and the Taiwan Sommelier Association. The Taiwan Sommelier Associations will also be conducting a series of food and wine pairing classes each day.
This year’s show will also feature Taiwan’s first Champagne Pommery Sparkling Wine Competition on September 29 held by Somm Spirit'D in collaboration with TSA. The competition will feature sparkling wines from all over the world including Champagne, Cremant, Prosecco, Sekt, and Cava. Guests of honor at the competition will include Mr. Herve Pennequin, who obtained a 3rd place finish at the 2004 Best Sommelier of the World Competition, and Mr. Matthieu Chapoutier Asia Export Director of Vranken Pommery.
This year’s Champagne Bar will be expanded to provide an unlimited supply of fine French Champagne together with fresh oysters from Britain and fresh, locally-made cheese from Dida Creamery.
The Gourmet Taipei Kitchen Theater cooking stage will feature many of the festival celebrity chefs performing on-site cooking demonstrations. The public will have the opportunity to enjoy a free sample made by our star chefs.

On site buying convenience! Gourmet Taipei is the first food festival to adopt a cashless payment system throughout the show. Guests can buy anything by using any kind of non-cash payment system, including credit cards, Apple pay, Android pay Samsung pay and even Taipei’s EasyCard.
