Taichung News --- The " 114th National Stamp Exhibition of the Republic of China and the China-Thailand Joint Stamp Exhibition" was grandly opened this morning ( 26th ) at the Yatang Hall of the Cultural Heritage Park of the Ministry of Culture. The opening ceremony was attended by Jiang Ruitang, General Manager of the China Post Corporation, Chen Qihua, Director of the Department of Transportation Industry Development and International Affairs of the Ministry of Transportation, Chen Jimin, Director of the Cultural Heritage Bureau of the Ministry of Culture, Chen Youan, Honorary Chairman of the Federation of Chinese Philatelic Associations, He Muyuan, Chairman of the Board, Xiong Guoxiang of the Taichung City Philatelic Association,  Prakit Foongvanich  , Vice Chairman of the Thai Philatelic Association , and Ye Yuxia, Director of the Taichung Post Office, and other distinguished guests, who jointly kicked off this philatelic event that combines culture, history and international exchange.

Jiang Ruitang, general manager of the Chunghwa Post Corporation, pointed out that this stamp exhibition is the fourth Sino-Thai joint exhibition held by our country since 2014. A total of 295 boxes of precious stamp collections from Taiwan and Thailand are on display, including invited stamp collections: "Taiwan Postal Inspection Stamps during the Early Period of Martial Law (1949-1960)" by local philatelist Professor He Huiqing , " The Postal History of the Qing Dynasty 1897-1911 " by Mr. Cai Wenlong, "German Hakka Postal Supplies in China" by Mr. Huang Chenghui, and wonderful stamp collections from Thailand: "King Rama VI of Siam" by Prakit Foongvanich  , "Thailand Tax Stamps ( 1932-1957 )" by Jenwit Apichainunt  , and  "Phairot Jiraprasertkun  's "Official Money Orders and Remittance Mail from Siam to China" is profound and collectible, demonstrating the artistry and academic significance of philately.

Chen Qihua, Director of the Department of Transportation Industry Development and International Affairs of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, said that philately is a cultural feast that transcends time and space and connects the world. Each stamp not only displays the beauty of design, but also carries historical memories and humanistic spirit. The joint exhibition with Thailand not only highlights the deep philatelic friendship between Taiwan and Thailand, but also demonstrates Taiwan's cultural strength in actively participating in international philately. At the same time, he highly affirmed the continuous efforts of the Chinese Post to innovate and show a life taste and fashion spirit that keeps pace with the times. He also called on the public to seize the opportunity to collect the stamps issued today and use their mobile phones to check in and share them so that more people can appreciate them.

The opening ceremony was held simultaneously with the issuance ceremony of the "Leisure Activities Stamps ( Volume 3 )". The themes of the stamps are "Passionate Ascent", "Picnic Gathering", "Stargazing", "Speed ​​Racing", "Free Running" and "Chasing the Waves", depicting the modern style of people's love for nature and enjoyment of life with bright colors and lively brushstrokes.

During the five- day exhibition, a variety of limited-edition philatelic ( stamp ) products will be sold on site, including this exhibition commemorative registered envelopes, postal exhibition commemorative postcards, "Fulu Jiujiu Stamp Collector's Book", "Snake Shishun Stamp Stamp Postal Book", "Snake Fulu Stamp Stamp Postal Book", "Taichung Station 120th Anniversary Platform Limited Set" and "Taichung With You Limited Set", etc. There is also a temporary post office and 4 stamp vending machines, providing customers with mail and printing services. The public is welcome to visit and purchase.
