Taipei, The 2025 CTC CUP World Cup International
Standard Dance Open will be held on July 5 (Saturday) at the
Taipei Arena. This event is officially certified by the World Dance
Council ( WDC) , hosted by the Taipei City Government Sports
Bureau, the National Dance Sports Association of the Republic of China, and
guided by the Ministry of Education Sports Administration. The world's top
dance players are invited to gather in Taipei to create the most anticipated
international dance event of the year. This year's event features Asia's first
dual-orchestra live performance, the "Little Legend Project" Taiwan
Dance Star of Tomorrow, and expanded charity feedback activities, showing the
unique charm of the fusion of competitive dance and art.
This year's
competition attracted outstanding dancers from all over the world. It is
expected that 1,130 contestants will participate in the competition,
gathering at the Taipei Arena to compete for glory with superb dancing skills
and show the highest level of international standard dance. The competition was
performed by the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and the Music
Line Jazz Orchestra, bringing a top-level music feast to the evening
finals. This initiative was conceived by Chen Weizhong, President of the Eniya
Group, and has continued to support the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra to
participate in the CTC CUP World Cup Ballroom Dance Competition
since 2018 , making music and dance a perfect fusion, successfully
attracting international attention, and showing the soft power of Taiwan's art.
In addition, to encourage Taiwanese children to learn ballroom dancing, the
"Little Legend Project" was held for the first time this year,
inviting 8 young contestants under the age of 10 to perform
in the evening. China Airlines provided a free air ticket to encourage the
champion to realize her dance dream.
The live
performance was brought to the audience by the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra
conductor Lin Tianji and pianist Chen Qianfen, and Taiwan's professional modern
dance champions Lin Changhong and Li Wenxuan, who won the Asian
professional modern dance championship in the Japanese and Taipei stops of the
Asian Ballroom Dance Tour this year and ranked in the top 48 in the
world in the three major British competitions - UK , Blackpool, and International .
Another pair of dancers was Taiwan's amateur Latin dance champions Wang
Zilun and Qi Zi'an, who won the third place in the Latin dance
for rising stars under 19 years old in the UK Ballroom Dance World
Championship last year and squeezed into the top 12 of the Latin
dance for under 21 years old in the Blackpool World Championship this
year . In addition, the eight children from all over Taiwan who
will be participating in "Little Legends" are : Yu
Wei-yen, Zhang Yu-rui, Chen Sheng-kai, Liu Zhe-rui, Liu Yue, Hong Yu-yi, Lu
Xiu-ning, and Cai Wei-you. They will compete at the Taipei Arena
on July 5 .
This year's
competition invited world-class international judges and star contestants to
participate, with a luxurious lineup, making the competition more interesting,
including: WDC World Dance Council Honorary Vice President Steve
Powell, BDFI British International Standard Dance Federation
President Kenny Welsh, World Professional Latin Dance Federation
13-year champion Gaynor Fareweather , China Professional Latin Dance
Champion Lu Ning, China Professional Ballroom Dance Champion Yang Chao. The
competition also attracted many world-class top contestants to participate,
showing the highest level of international dance competition. This May, all the
finalists of the Blackpool Dance Festival in the UK will come to Taiwan to
participate in this competition: World Professional Latin Dance

Professional Modern Dance Champions Stanislav Zelianin & Irina
Cherepanova ( Singapore ), World Amateur Latin Dance
Champions Alexander Chernositov & Arina Grishanina

Yujie & Zhao Ke Ni ( China ) , as well as the
top six star players in the world ranking.
This
competition also shoulders the mission of social welfare, providing
15 redemption coupons to the village chiefs of Taipei City for the
public to freely claim.
At the same time, citizens can also redeem one
admission ticket with two valid receipts (redemption
time: 17:00-21:00), or contact the organizer, the National Dance

can share the world-class dance feast. This competition is not only the
pinnacle of international dance competition, but also a global festival of art,
