STARLUX Airlines’ Financial Statistics for March 2025

Taipei, Taiwan---STARLUX Airlines (2646) reported total revenue of NT$ 3.55 billion, marking an exceptional growth 34% year-over-year (YoY). For the first quarter, total revenue reached NT$ 11.2 billion, also representing a 40% YOY growth and setting a new all-time high for quarterly revenue.

Passenger revenue reached NT$ 2.87 billion, with a 22% YoY growth. Despite March being a traditionally low season, the overall passenger load factor remained steady at over 80%. Looking ahead, strong booking demand continues into April, driven by the cherry blossom season in Japan, reflecting robust market demand.

In March, cargo revenue reached NT$ 375 million, representing 48% month-over-month (MoM) and 127% year-over-year (YoY). Following the end of the 228 Peace Memorial holiday in Taiwan, both market freight rates and cargo volume increased, driving cargo revenue to a new monthly record.

At the end of March, STARLUX Airlines took delivery of its ninth A350-900 aircraft, bringing the total fleet size to 27 aircraft. As the fleet continues to expand, STARLUX is actively launching new routes. The inaugural Taipei–Kobe and Taichung–Kobe routes are set for April 18, while the Taipei–Ontario (California, USA) route will be launched on June 2.

Several route expansions are planned in response to growing market demand and increased flight capacity. From May, the Taipei-Osaka route will be operated with two daily A350 flights. Between April and May, the Taipei-Nagoya route will be converted to the A330neo widebody aircraft. The A350-900 will now be used regularly on the midday flight from STARLUX to Hong Kong (JX235/236). In Southeast Asia, First Class seating will be offered on the Taipei-Bangkok route starting this month. In addition, the midday Taipei-Ho Chi Minh City service (JX713/714) will be switched to the A330neo beginning in June to accommodate the growing connecting traffic.

STARLUX Airlines announced the official launch of its brand new “STARLUX x PEANUTS themed flights” starting May 28th. Following the success of last year’s PEANUTS™ collaborative flight, the campaign expands from Asia to global routes (excluding departures from Los Angeles and Ontario). This year’s theme evolves from last year’s “Sky Adventure” to an interstellar journey — “Snoopy is Shooting for the Stars” — and introduces more than ten newly designed theme-specific amenities, including boarding passes, luggage tags, inflight screens, napkins, cups, and other amenities that are designed with cosmic blue and starlight gold primary colors. The Snoopy-themed flights will run from early summer through the end of 2025, offering travelers a galactic journey with Snoopy and unforgettable memories in the sky.
