TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 12th, 2019--Prudential of Taiwan today announced the appointment of Sean McLaughlin as President and CEO.
Mr.
McLaughlin replaces former President and CEO Dylan Tyson, who has been named President
of Prudential Annuities.
Prior to being named President and CEO of Prudential of Taiwan, Mr.
McLaughlin served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer of
Prudential of Korea. He led corporate strategy and business planning,
marketing, future growth initiatives and was also responsible for Prudential of
Korea’s Digital Innovation Office, which supports Prudential International
Insurance’s Digital Transformation initiative.
Before joining Prudential of Korea, Mr. McLaughlin was head of Client
Relations & Business Development for Prudential Retirement. In this role,
he oversaw institutional sales and relationship management, key account
management, client service, retail sales and actuarial consulting. He drove
strategies to deepen and strengthen Prudential Retirement’s relationships with
its existing clients, increased the company’s market share and positioned it as
a leader in transforming the U.S. retirement landscape.

Mr. McLaughlin earned an AB in Psychology from Harvard College and holds
an MBA from Harvard Business School. He serves on the Board of Directors for
the Greater Hartford YMCA. He, his wife, and three children currently reside in
Seoul, South Korea and will be relocating to Taiwan.
