(Ho
Chi Minh City, August 18, 2018) - Vietjet
shareholders will be advanced 2018 cash dividend at the rate of 20%, in
addition to 20% share dividend received recently, thanks to its positive
performance in the first months of the year.
Resolution dated August 16th, 2018
of the Board of Directors of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE code:
VJC) approved advancing the first cash dividend payment of 2018 at the rate of
20% (receiving VND2,000 per shares) (Approx. 8.6 US cents). The final
registration date is September 6th, 2018, the ex-right date is
September 5th, 2018.
With VND5,416 billion (Approx. USD233 million)
(*) charter capital, Vietjet will pay over VND1,083 billion (Approx. USD47 million) in
advance of the first cash dividend 2018 to its shareholders on September 19th,
2018.
According to the Resolution of Annual
Shareholder Meeting 2018, the planned dividend payout ratio is 50% in both
shares and cash. Last year, Vietjet also approved the dividend payout ratio of
50%, which was finally increased to 60% thanks to positive business results.
Vietjet has a good record of paying high dividends from year to year.
Closing the trading session on August 17th,
VJC share price was VND151,000 (Approx. USD6.5), an increase of 24.8% over the beginning
of the year.
